If you travel taiwan around June-July, you’ll see “Dragon Boat Festival” in Taiwan
This festival falls on 5/5 on Chinese lunar calendar.
It is hosted at the Danshui River.
On that day, there’ll be Dragon Boat Racing.
Besides Taipei, many other cities also organize similar competition.
You can ride the Metro Danshui Line, then goto Danshui station
After that, you just follow the crowd !
And you can see many traditional customs on that day.
While you’re walking down the streets, sometimes you can smell Zhongzi (rice cake wrapped in bamboo leaves) – the traditional food for this Festival.
Well…you can buy it. It tastes nice
